New Students

FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY, OWERRI

GUIDELINE ON ONLINE REGISTRATION PROCESS FOR NEW STUDENTS

To start the registration process, activate your browser (internet explorer, fire fox e.t.c) and in the browsers address bar type http://futo.nucdb.edu.ng to access the home page.

1. Click the link ‘Student’s Registration’ to begin your registration.

2. If you are logging in for the first time click on the link ‘If you are yet to register your personal data on the portal, click here’. This takes you to the page where you are required to fill in your registration details.

3. When you are through with filling the form, your username and password will be generated for you. Print the page or write down the username and password and keep in a safe place. Continue to the full Bio data forms by logging in with your username and password, after which you will be expected to proceed to payments by clicking on the link ‘Pay acceptance fees’.
(Note: if you have made any previous manual payments, proceed to the bursary to have your payment details updated on the portal and enable you undergo clearance)

4. A bank payment slip will be generated for you, Print the slip, take it to any of the underlisted banks and make your acceptance fee payments. Make sure you obtain a receipt from the bank after you must have made payments.

5. Proceed to your department for clearance with your receipt and the required credentials. Once you have been successfully cleared, you will receive an SMS notifying you to proceed for School fees payments and course registration.

6. Go back to the Home page at http://futo.nucdb.edu.ng, click the link ‘Student’s Registration’, in the resultant page, log in with your username and password (generated in step 3).

7. Print the bank payment slip generated for you and proceed to any of the above listed banks for your school fees payments

8. After successfully making payments, proceed for course registration on the portal by logging in again (as in step 6). The courses for your program will be displayed. Choose the ones that apply to you.

9. Print four (4) copies of your course registration forms, sign and submit them as follows
• 3 copies to your departmental office
• 1 copy to the student

10. After the close of registration, Only students with endorsed course registration forms will be deemed as authentic students of the University on the NUC database.


Returning Students

To start the registration process, activate your browser (internet explorer, fire fox e.t.c) and in the browsers address bar type http://futo.nucdb.edu.ng to access the home page
1. Click the link ‘Student’s Registration’ to begin your registration.

2. From the page above, if you are logging in for the first time click on the link ‘If you are yet to register your personal data on the portal, click here’. This takes you to the page where you are required to fill in your registration details

3. When you are through with filling the form, your username and password will be generated for you. Print the page or write down the username and password and keep in a safe place. You will now be expected to fill the full Bio data form.

4. After completing the Bio data forms, you will be expected to print the bank payment slip and proceed to any of underlisted banks and effect your school fee payments. Make sure you obtain a receipt from the bank after you must have made payments.

5. Go back to the Home page at http://futo.nucdb.edu.ng, click the link ‘Returning Student’s Registration’, in the resultant page, log in with your username and password (generated in step 3).

6. The courses for your program will be displayed. Choose the ones that apply to you.

7. Print four (4) copies of your course registration forms, sign and submit them as follows
• 3 copies to your departmental office
• 1 copy to the student

8. Your department is expected to forward a copy to the ICT department, Only students whose course registration forms are forwarded to the ICT will be deemed to be authentic students of the University on the NUC database.
